Google Docs

Collaborative documents.

Verdict

The Google Docs MCP lets your team read, edit, and create documents directly from Switchy Spaces. @mention it to draft proposals, pull content from shared docs, or update meeting notes without leaving the conversation. Writers, project managers, and anyone who lives in Docs get the most value — you can ask the AI to summarize a long document, insert a section, or create a new doc from a template. Setup requires OAuth, so you'll grant read/write access to your Google Drive. If your org restricts third-party apps, check with IT first.

Common use cases

  • Draft meeting agendas from chat threads
  • Summarize long strategy documents quickly
  • Update shared project docs collaboratively
  • Create new docs from team templates
  • Pull quotes or sections into reports

Tools

Per-tool listings haven't synced yet for Google Docs. The connection itself works - your Space can already @-mention it. Tool descriptions will fill in on the next Composio ingest.

Setup

Setup guide

  1. 11. Open your Switchy workspace and navigate to Settings > Integrations. 2. Find Google Docs in the list and click Connect. 3. You'll be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen — sign in with the Google account that has access to the docs you need. 4. Google will ask you to grant Switchy permission to view and manage your Google Docs and Drive files; review the scopes and click Allow. 5. You'll return to Switchy, where the integration status should show Connected. 6. Open any Space, type '@Google Docs' followed by a request like 'summarize the Q1 roadmap doc', and send the message. 7. The AI will confirm it can see your docs and respond with the requested content. 8. If you see an auth error, disconnect and reconnect the integration to refresh your token.

What teammates see: by default, memories from Google Docs are scoped to the Space (PROJECT visibility) - you can mark any memory PRIVATE or share it ORG-wide.
