Jinko

Jinko provides flight and hotel discovery, trip management, ancillaries, and hosted travel checkout APIs.

Verdict

Jinko lets your team search flights and hotels, build multi-leg trips, and generate checkout links — all from inside a Switchy Project. @mention Jinko to find destinations within budget, compare hotel rates, assemble an itinerary with travelers and contact details, then create a hosted payment page you can share with the traveler. Useful for ops teams booking client travel, agencies quoting group trips, or anyone coordinating logistics without switching tabs. Jinko handles the fare search and quote assembly; you still complete payment and booking outside Switchy.

Common use cases

  • Quote multi-city trips for client travel
  • Find weekend getaways under budget
  • Compare hotel rates near event venues
  • Assemble itineraries with traveler details
  • Generate checkout links for group bookings

Tools

  • Add Trip Item

Add one flight or hotel offer to an existing trip. Returns the successful mutation snapshot and a best-effort canonical trip read; if that read fails, the warning confirms the mutation succeeded and must not be retried blindly.

  • Create Hosted Checkout

Quote a complete trip and create a hosted checkout URL for a person to review and pay. This tool neither opens checkout nor submits payment nor creates a booking; create a fresh checkout if the quote expires.

  • Create Trip

Create a new trip containing one flight or hotel offer. Returns the successful mutation snapshot and a best-effort canonical trip read; if that read fails, the warning confirms the mutation succeeded and must not be retried blindly.

  • Find Destinations

Discover destinations reachable from one or more origins using cached fare data, with optional dates, budget, cabin, and passenger constraints. Increase offset to request another page; returned_count describes only this page.

  • Get Hotel Details

Get descriptive property, policy, facility, image, and room metadata for one hotel. Rooms are descriptive and unpriced; use Search Hotels for current rates and bookable hotel offer IDs.

  • Get Trip

Read the canonical current state of a trip, including items, travelers, contact, quote and fulfillment state, totals, and booking references. Use this instead of relying on a prior mutation response.

  • List Trip Ancillaries

Create or reuse a price quote and list purchasable baggage, seat, meal, and other ancillary offers for a trip without creating checkout. Creating the quote can update the trip's quote state and consume Jinko account credit; completed quotes

  • Remove Trip Item
    destructive

Remove one flight or hotel item from an existing trip. This is destructive. Returns the successful mutation snapshot and a best-effort canonical trip read; if that read fails, do not retry blindly and reconcile with Get Trip.

  • Replace Trip Travelers and Contact

Replace an existing trip's complete traveler list and optionally its booking contact. Travelers cannot be empty. Returns the successful mutation snapshot and a best-effort canonical read; a read warning must not trigger a blind retry.

  • Search Flight Calendar

Search cached priced itineraries for known origins and destinations across exact or flexible dates. This does not live-price fares; pass an itinerary's offer token to Search Flights before adding a fare to a trip.

  • Search Flights

Get live flight offers either by searching a route or by re-pricing one cached discovery offer. Provide exactly one of search or offer_token; re-pricing can return multiple alternatives and exact_match_found may be false.

  • Search Hotels

Search live hotel availability and priced room rates for dates, occupancy, and one location selector. Pass next_cursor by itself to continue the same search using Jinko's exact next offset.

  • Select Ancillaries

Replace the ancillary selections for one trip item using offer IDs from List Trip Ancillaries. This updates the quoted trip price but does not create checkout or submit payment.

Setup

Setup guide

  1. 11. Open your Switchy workspace settings and navigate to Integrations. 2. Find Jinko in the directory and click Connect. 3. Paste your Jinko API key when prompted — you'll generate this from your Jinko dashboard under API Access. 4. Grant read and write permissions so Switchy can search inventory and create trips on your behalf. 5. Click Save to complete the connection. 6. Open any Project, type '@Jinko find destinations from SFO under $500' in the chat, and confirm you see a list of reachable cities with fare estimates. 7. If the response is empty or errors, return to settings and verify your API key is active and has the correct scopes enabled in Jinko.

What teammates see: by default, memories from Jinko are scoped to the Project (PROJECT visibility) - you can mark any memory PRIVATE or share it ORG-wide.

Starter prompts

Find Budget Destinations

@Jinko find destinations from JFK under $600 for economy travel between March 15 and March 22. Show me the top five options with estimated fares.

Search Hotel Rates

@Jinko get hotel details for the Hilton Downtown Seattle, including available room categories, amenities, and cancellation policies for a two-night stay starting April 10.

Build a Trip

@Jinko create a trip with a round-trip flight from LAX to Miami departing May 5 and returning May 9, economy cabin, for two adults named Sarah Chen and Mark Liu.

List Trip Ancillaries

@Jinko list ancillaries for trip ID xyz789. Show me available baggage allowances, seat selection options, and meal upgrades with their prices.

Example outputs

Illustrative - representative of the model's voice and quality, not literal recordings.

Prompt

@jinko find destinations from SFO and LAX under $500 round-trip in May, economy class for 2 passengers

Output

Found 18 destinations reachable from San Francisco and Los Angeles under your $500 budget for May economy travel. Top options include Las Vegas ($287 avg), Seattle ($342 avg), Portland ($389 avg), Phoenix ($412 avg), and Denver ($448 avg). Each result shows cached fare data with departure city, average price, and typical flight duration. Use offset=18 to see the next page of results.

Notes

This example uses cached fare data, not live inventory — prices are directional and may differ when you search specific dates. The tool helps narrow down where to look before running expensive live searches. Useful for early trip brainstorming when dates are flexible.

Prompt

@jinko create a new trip with flight offer FLT_ABC123 from the search I just ran, then add hotel offer HTL_XYZ789 to the same trip

Output

Created trip TRIP_5K2M with your selected SFO→DEN flight (May 15–22, $448 for 2 passengers). Added the Hyatt Regency Denver downtown hotel (7 nights, $1,204 total). Trip now contains 2 items. Current total: $1,652 before taxes and fees. Use Get Trip to see the canonical state including traveler details and quote status, or Create Hosted Checkout when ready to collect payment.

Notes

Mutations return a snapshot, but the canonical trip state may lag. Always call Get Trip after adding items to confirm totals and quote validity. Each mutation can trigger repricing; if the quote expires or inventory changes, you'll need to search again and rebuild the trip.

Prompt

@jinko get trip TRIP_5K2M, list available ancillaries, then draft a summary email explaining seat selection and baggage options to the traveler

Output

Trip TRIP_5K2M contains 1 flight and 1 hotel, quoted at $1,847.32 including taxes. Available ancillaries: 4 seat options per passenger ($29–$89 for extra legroom or window), 2 checked bag tiers ($35 first bag, $45 second bag each way), and 3 meal choices ($12–$18). Draft email: 'Your Denver trip is ready to book. Before checkout, you can add seats (window seats start at $58 round-trip) or checked bags ($70 per bag round-trip). Total due at checkout: $1,847.32. Let me know if you'd like to add anything.' This combines live ancillary pricing with AI-generated traveler communication.

Notes

List Trip Ancillaries creates or reuses a price quote, which can update the trip's quote state and consume rate-limit budget. The AI synthesis here pairs structured ancillary data with natural-language explanation — useful for client-facing workflows where you want to present options without overwhelming the traveler with raw API responses.

Use-case deep-dives

Corporate travel booking for remote teams

When Jinko replaces your travel admin for distributed hires

A 12-person startup with employees in four countries needs to book quarterly offsites without hiring a travel coordinator. Jinko's MCP is the right call if your team already uses Switchy for ops workflows and you want trip planning inside the same context where you're discussing agenda and budget. The Create Trip and Add Trip Item tools let an AI agent build multi-leg itineraries in one conversation thread, then generate a hosted checkout link each traveler can pay through. The threshold: if you need policy enforcement (spend limits, preferred vendors, approval chains), Jinko's MCP doesn't surface those controls—you'd still route checkout links through Slack for manager sign-off. For teams under 20 people booking 4-6 trips a year, this keeps travel planning in your shared workspace instead of scattering it across email and a separate TripActions login.

Customer success trip research for enterprise accounts

How Jinko speeds up client visit logistics for account teams

A three-person customer success pod managing eight enterprise accounts needs to research flights and hotels before proposing onsite QBRs. Use Jinko's Find Destinations and Search Hotels tools when your team is already drafting the meeting agenda in Switchy and wants to surface travel options without leaving the thread. The MCP returns cached fare data and hotel rates fast enough to compare three city options in one conversation, then link the best itinerary into your proposal deck. The trade-off: Jinko doesn't integrate your company's Concur profile or negotiated rates, so the quoted prices are retail. If your travel policy requires pre-approval through an expense system, you're using this MCP for research only—final booking still happens in your corporate tool. For account teams that book 10-15 client visits a year, this cuts the "where should we meet" back-and-forth from a day to an hour.

Event logistics for small conference organizers

When Jinko handles speaker travel without a dedicated coordinator

A nonprofit running a 40-person annual conference needs to book flights and hotels for six out-of-town speakers. Jinko's MCP works if you're coordinating the event in Switchy and want one person to manage all speaker travel without juggling six separate booking confirmation emails. The Create Trip tool lets you build each speaker's itinerary in a dedicated conversation thread, tag it with their session topic, and generate a checkout link they complete on their own. The Get Trip tool surfaces booking status when a speaker asks for their confirmation number three weeks later. The boundary: if you're coordinating 15+ travelers or need group rate negotiation, Jinko's retail pricing and per-trip workflow get expensive and repetitive—at that scale you want a group booking platform. For events under 50 attendees with fewer than 10 travelers, this keeps logistics in the same workspace where you're managing the agenda and speaker comms.

Frequently asked

What does the Jinko MCP let me do in Switchy?

It lets you search flights and hotels, build multi-item trips, quote totals with ancillaries like baggage and seats, and generate hosted checkout URLs for payment. You can't complete bookings directly through the MCP—Jinko handles the payment flow on their hosted page. Use it to prototype travel tools or embed booking flows in your team's workflows without building a travel API integration from scratch.

Do I need a Jinko account to connect this MCP?

Yes. You need a Jinko API key, which means you must sign up with Jinko and likely complete their onboarding process. The MCP uses API_KEY authentication, so paste your key into Switchy's integration settings. If your team doesn't have a Jinko account yet, start at jinko.ai to request access—this isn't a consumer product you can self-serve instantly.

Can the Jinko MCP actually book flights and hotels?

No. It creates trips, adds items, quotes prices, and generates a hosted checkout URL—but the customer completes payment on Jinko's page, not inside Switchy. The MCP returns booking references after checkout succeeds, but you're handing off the transaction. If you need programmatic booking without a redirect, you'll need Jinko's direct API or a different travel provider.

How is this different from using Jinko's API directly?

The MCP wraps Jinko's API into 13 natural-language tools your AI can call without you writing HTTP requests or parsing JSON schemas. You describe what you want—"find hotels in Tokyo under $200"—and the model picks the right tool. If you're already comfortable with REST APIs and want full control, use Jinko's API. If you want conversational prototyping, use the MCP.

Who on my team should connect the Jinko MCP?

Whoever holds your Jinko API key and understands your travel use case. This is typically a product or ops person building booking flows, not an end-user. Once connected in Switchy, any workspace member can invoke the tools in threads, but the API key's rate limits and billing apply to your whole team. Don't share the key outside your Switchy workspace.
