Ip2Proxy
IP2Proxy is a proxy detection web service that identifies anonymous proxies, VPNs, TOR exit nodes, search engine robots, and residential proxies by IP address.
Verdict
Ip2Proxy lets your team verify whether an IP address routes through a proxy, VPN, or Tor exit node. When @mentioned in a Space, it exposes one tool that checks a single IP and returns its proxy status plus threat classification. Security teams use it to flag suspicious traffic during incident reviews. Support teams check IPs from fraud reports. DevOps engineers validate traffic sources before allowlisting. The tool requires an API key from Ip2Proxy's dashboard, and accuracy depends on your subscription tier — free plans cover basic proxy detection but miss sophisticated VPNs.
Common use cases
- Flag VPN traffic in fraud investigations
- Audit IP sources before firewall changes
- Verify user locations during account reviews
