@Tldv list all meetings from the past week and show me which ones have completed transcripts
Found 12 meetings from the past 7 days. 9 have completed transcripts: 'Product Roadmap Review' (45 min, Oct 28), 'Customer Discovery Call - Acme Corp' (30 min, Oct 27), 'Sprint Planning' (60 min, Oct 26), 'Design Critique' (25 min, Oct 25), '1:1 with Sarah' (30 min, Oct 25), 'All-Hands' (50 min, Oct 24), 'Sales Demo - Beta Inc' (40 min, Oct 23), 'Engineering Sync' (30 min, Oct 22), 'Board Meeting Prep' (35 min, Oct 22). 3 meetings are still processing transcripts.
This example shows the MCP's ability to filter and surface meeting metadata. Requires API key with read access to your tldv workspace. Transcript completion depends on meeting length and processing queue—recent meetings may still be processing.
@Tldv import the recording from https://example.com/sales-call.mp4 so we can get a transcript and highlights
Import job started for 'sales-call.mp4'. Job ID: imp_8x3k9m2n. The recording is being processed and will appear in your tldv workspace once complete. Processing typically takes 2-5 minutes per hour of content. You'll be able to retrieve the transcript and highlights once the job finishes—check back in a few minutes or use the job ID to monitor status.
This demonstrates the import capability for external recordings. The URL must be publicly accessible and point to a supported media format (mp3, mp4, wav, m4a, mkv, mov, avi, wma, flac). Import is asynchronous—transcript and highlights won't be immediately available.
@Tldv get the highlights from our 'Q4 Planning' meeting and summarize the top 3 action items with owners
Retrieved highlights from 'Q4 Planning' (Oct 28, 60 min). Top 3 action items: (1) Launch beta program by Nov 15—Owner: Marcus will coordinate with product and marketing teams. (2) Finalize pricing model revisions—Owner: Sarah to present three options at next exec meeting. (3) Hire two senior engineers by end of Q4—Owner: Recruiting team (Lisa) to prioritize backend and infrastructure roles. Additional context: Team discussed shifting launch timeline due to integration delays.
This showcases the MCP's ability to fetch structured meeting notes and pair them with AI reasoning for synthesis. Highlights are only available after transcript completion. The AI extracts action items from unstructured note text—accuracy depends on how clearly items were captured during the meeting.
Use-case deep-dives
When Tldv beats manual note-taking for support escalations
A 6-person support team runs 20+ customer calls per week and needs to surface recurring issues for product. Tldv wins here because the Get Meeting Highlights tool pulls structured notes from completed transcripts without anyone typing during the call. The team can list meetings, filter by date, and extract highlights in batch to feed a weekly escalation doc. The threshold: if your calls are under 10 minutes or mostly chat-based, transcription overhead isn't worth it—stick to Slack threads. But for 30-minute+ calls where context gets lost between handoffs, Tldv turns spoken detail into searchable text. The API key auth means any team member can query past calls without vendor lock-in. If your support backlog includes "what did the customer actually say," this MCP closes that loop.
How Tldv handles recorded standups at 10+ person scale
A 12-person engineering team across three time zones records async video standups instead of live meetings. Tldv's List Meetings and Get Meeting Transcript tools let a team lead pull all standup recordings from the past week, scan transcripts for blockers, and route follow-ups without watching every video. The Import Meeting tool also works if the team records to Loom or another platform—just pass the public URL and Tldv ingests it. The catch: if your standups are under 3 minutes or already text-based in Slack, transcription adds friction you don't need. But for teams doing 5-10 minute video updates where tone and detail matter, Tldv makes the async format searchable. The Download Meeting Recording tool gives you the raw file if you need to clip a segment for context. If your team is too big for synchronous standups but too small for a full wiki, this MCP bridges the gap.
When Tldv's transcript tools accelerate founder-led sales
A 3-person startup runs 8-12 discovery calls per week with the founder on every call. Tldv's Get Meeting Transcript tool pulls verbatim customer language—pain points, feature requests, objections—that the founder can paste into a shared doc or feed to a summarization prompt. The Get Meeting Highlights tool surfaces the key moments without re-listening to 40 minutes of audio. The workflow: after each call, the founder runs List Meetings filtered to today, grabs the transcript, and updates the CRM or pitch deck with exact customer quotes. The limit: if your sales cycle is one-call-close or you're doing 50+ calls a week, you need a heavier analytics layer than this MCP provides. But for early-stage teams where every call informs product direction and the founder is still learning the pitch, Tldv turns spoken feedback into structured input. If you're currently relying on memory or scattered notes, this MCP is the forcing function.
Frequently asked
What does the Tldv MCP do in Switchy?
It lets AI agents pull meeting transcripts, highlights, and recordings from your Tldv account without leaving Switchy. Agents can list past meetings, fetch full transcripts with speaker labels and timestamps, download recordings, or import new media from a URL. You still record and manage meetings in Tldv; the MCP just gives agents read access to the content afterward.
Do I need admin access to connect Tldv?
No. Tldv uses API key authentication, so anyone with a key can connect. You generate the key in your Tldv workspace settings under Integrations or API. The key grants access to all meetings visible to that Tldv account, so share it only with teammates who should see those recordings and transcripts.
Can the MCP edit or delete meetings in Tldv?
No. The seven tools are read-only except for Import Meeting, which adds new recordings from a public URL. Agents cannot rename meetings, change templates, delete transcripts, or modify highlights. If you need to clean up or reorganize, do it directly in Tldv's web app.
Why use this instead of exporting transcripts manually?
Manual export works for one-off analysis, but agents can now query dozens of meetings in seconds—"find every mention of pricing in Q4 calls" or "summarize action items from last week's standups." The MCP also checks API health before fetching, so workflows fail fast if Tldv is down. You skip the copy-paste loop.
Who on the team should connect the Tldv MCP?
Whoever owns the Tldv workspace and wants AI agents to access its meetings. In most small teams that's the founder or ops lead. Once connected, any Switchy user in the workspace can build agents that call Tldv tools. Recordings and transcripts count against your Tldv storage limits, not Switchy's.
