Setup
Setup guide
- 11. In Switchy, open Settings and navigate to the MCP Integrations page. 2. Click 'Add Integration' and select Eranol from the list. 3. Open your Eranol dashboard, generate a new API key under Account Settings, and copy it. 4. Paste the API key into Switchy's connection form and click 'Connect'. 5. Switchy will verify the key by fetching your account credits; if the test succeeds, the integration becomes active. 6. Inside any Project, type '@Eranol get account credits' to confirm the connection and see your remaining balance. 7. To process media, provide a publicly downloadable URL — Eranol cannot access private or authenticated links. 8. After submitting a job, note the job ID and use '@Eranol get job result <id>' to retrieve the download link once processing finishes.
What teammates see: by default, memories from Eranol are scoped to the Project (PROJECT visibility) - you can mark any memory PRIVATE or share it ORG-wide.

Caption a Video
@Eranol caption this video: https://example.com/demo.mp4. Use white text with a black background and center the captions at the bottom.
Enhance Interview Audio
@Eranol enhance the audio in https://example.com/interview.wav. Apply noise reduction, normalize loudness, and export as MP3.
Join Multiple Clips
@Eranol concatenate these clips in order: https://example.com/intro.mp4, https://example.com/main.mp4, https://example.com/outro.mp4. Add a fade transition between each.
Convert Webinar to MP3

Check Processing Credits
@Eranol get my account credits and tell me how many I have left.
Example outputs
Illustrative - representative of the model's voice and quality, not literal recordings.
@Eranol check my account credits and show me how many processing minutes I have left for this month
Your Eranol account (ID: acc_8x9k2m) currently has 847 credits remaining. Based on typical usage, that translates to approximately 14 minutes of video captioning or 28 minutes of audio enhancement at standard quality. Credits reset on the 1st of each month. Your last processing job consumed 23 credits for a 90-second video caption burn.
This read-only example shows how teams can budget media processing before kicking off expensive jobs. The credit-to-minute conversion is approximate and varies by media complexity, resolution, and the specific tool invoked. Always check credits before batch operations.
@Eranol caption this training video https://example.com/onboarding.mp4 with white text and a black background, then give me the download link
Captioning job submitted (job_v7n3p). Eranol is transcribing audio, generating styled subtitles, and burning them into the video. Estimated processing time: 3–5 minutes for a 4-minute source file. This job will consume approximately 35 credits. I'll poll the status and return the download URL once processing completes. Note: the output URL expires 24 hours after generation.
This write example demonstrates an asynchronous media workflow. The MCP submits the job but doesn't block—teams typically follow up with a status check or wait for a webhook. Be aware that captioning consumes credits proportional to video length, and the output link is temporary.
@Eranol get the status of job_v7n3p and if it's done, summarize the caption file so I can review accuracy before sharing it
Job job_v7n3p completed 2 minutes ago. Download URL: https://eranol-output.s3.amazonaws.com/job_v7n3p.mp4 (expires in 23 hours, 58 minutes). The generated SRT subtitle file contains 47 caption blocks spanning 4:12 of runtime. Reviewing a sample: the transcription captured technical terms like 'API key rotation' and 'OAuth scope' accurately, though one timestamp at 2:34 shows a slight overlap that may need manual adjustment if precision is critical.
This synthesis example pairs Eranol's job-status tool with the AI's ability to parse and critique subtitle output. It's useful for QA workflows where a human needs to approve media before publication. Remember that transcription accuracy depends on audio clarity—background noise or accents may require manual correction.
Use-case deep-dives
When Eranol beats manual captioning for internal comms
A 12-person remote startup records a 20-minute all-hands every Monday and posts it to Slack. The CEO wants captions burned in so people can watch on mute during lunch. Eranol's Caption Video tool is the right call here: one API key, one tool invocation per week, and the credit cost stays predictable because the video length is fixed. The alternative—uploading to YouTube and waiting for auto-captions—adds two extra steps and a 10-minute delay. The threshold: if you're captioning more than five videos a week, you'll want batch tooling or a dedicated transcription MCP instead. For this cadence, Eranol keeps the workflow in one place and the credit burn manageable.
Eranol handles the format shuffle for audio teams
A three-person podcast team records in WAV, publishes in MP3, and archives highlights as video clips for social. They used to run three separate tools; now they chain Eranol's Convert Media and Concatenate Videos in a single Switchy session. The Convert Media tool hits MP3 and MP4 in one pass, and Concatenate Videos stitches the best 60-second moments without leaving the workspace. The credit model works because they publish twice a month—predictable spend, no subscription bloat. If your team ships daily or needs real-time processing, Eranol's async job pattern will feel slow. For bi-weekly or weekly publishing, it's the cleanest way to collapse three vendor accounts into one MCP and one credit pool.
When Enhance Audio saves a shaky Zoom recording
A five-person marketing team collects customer testimonials over Zoom, and half the recordings have background noise or low gain. They used to send files to a freelance editor; now they run Eranol's Enhance Audio in Switchy before the first review. The tool applies noise reduction and loudness normalization in one call, and the output lands in the same thread where the team is drafting the campaign. The credit cost is front-loaded—each job burns credits based on duration—but the team knows the price before they hit go, and they're processing maybe ten videos a quarter. If you're cleaning dozens of recordings a week, a dedicated audio SaaS with flat-rate pricing will be cheaper. For occasional cleanup at small scale, Eranol keeps the workflow tight and the vendor count low.
Frequently asked
What does the Eranol MCP do in Switchy?
It lets AI agents transcribe videos, burn captions into footage, concatenate clips, convert media formats, and enhance audio quality. Every operation consumes Eranol credits from your account and runs asynchronously—agents submit jobs, poll for completion, then retrieve download URLs that expire after 24 hours. You connect once via API key; the team shares one credit pool.
Do I need an Eranol account to use this MCP?
Yes. You must sign up at Eranol, buy credits, and paste your API key into Switchy's connection form. The MCP calls Get Account Credits on first use to verify the key and show your remaining balance. Without credits, jobs fail immediately. One key per workspace; Switchy doesn't resell or bundle Eranol credits.
Can the Eranol MCP edit videos or add custom graphics?
No. It burns pre-styled captions into video, joins clips with basic transitions, and converts formats—but it won't let you trim footage, adjust color grading, or overlay custom graphics. For creative edits, export the captioned file and finish in a proper NLE. Eranol is a transcription and format-conversion API, not a video editor.
How does this compare to uploading files to Eranol's web dashboard?
The MCP skips the dashboard entirely. Agents pass public URLs, poll job status programmatically, and grab download links—all inside a Switchy conversation. You lose the GUI progress bar and manual retry button, but gain the ability to chain caption, concatenate, and convert steps in one prompt without leaving the chat.
Who on the team should connect the Eranol MCP?
Whoever owns the Eranol billing account and can afford to share the API key. Every agent call draws from the same credit pool, so one careless prompt that captions a two-hour video can drain the balance. Lock the connection to specific channels if you want to gate access by project or seniority.
